We arrived at church this morning to find all the chairs being cleared away. James asked us all to please sit on the carpet. He told us that Jesus had given him questions to answer this week, and that these questions were for the whole church as well, for every one of us, and that he felt that God wanted us to stop - to do nothing further, no ministry (hence no worship), nothing at all - until we have answered these questions. He then led us through the questions from Jesus, which are:
Do you love Me?
Are you doing things for Me because I asked you to, or is it really for yourself?
Do you love Me more than your ministry?
You cannot love Me unless you love your brothers and sisters, so - are you willing in humility to consider others better than yourself and to give and receive forgiveness right now if necessary?
I really love you - do you really love Me?
We had a long period of silent contemplation after this, and then some people shared and people moved around to pray with others and ask forgiveness.

In the evening, continuing from Alexander Venter's teachings on healing last weekend, we continued watching John Wimber preaching on power evangelism, from the "Signs and Wonders Conference" set of DVD's.
The full notes for each of the conference talks including this talk are available here. We will be watching the rest of these talks on Sunday evenings over the next few weeks.
